i am the administrator of a MES (Manufacturing Execution Software) which is connected to the a SAP System (PP Module).
Short description of the Business Process:
On the SAP side we use the SAP PP Planning board to create production orders and send this orders to the MES. On the MES the order is started and the MES sends a status Idoc to SAP. After the order is started on the MES, the MES counts the produced parts and sends quantity confirmations to SAP. After all the material is produced, the MES finishes the order and sends a status IDoc to SAP.
System description of the MES:
The MES is a 3 Tier-Application which has a web frontend which just needs a browser and a installed java plugin. It can be operated by the mouse and does not need any keyboard.
Challenge:
I am searching for a tool, which can do automatic tests of both systems. A test case can be:
- Create a new production order with CO01
- Allocate / Schedule the order in the SAP planning board (creates the IDoc to MES)
- Start the Order on the MES
- create some parts (this is a part creation simulator which sends the same telegrams like a PLC. This is also a web application using the java plugin)
- finish the order on the MES
- check some Status on the SAP
- close the order on SAP.
Does anybody know a tool or if this is possible. Can SAP TAO only test SAP use cases?
